A perfect martini and something called a "Brave Lucy" launched us into another perfect dinner at one of the best restaurants within 100 miles. The hanger steak was the best I have ever had. Desert was luscious. The level of courtesy and efficient service are unsurpassed. Comforting ambiance and exacting execution are the hallmarks of 80 Thoreau. This is fine dining at it's best.

This spot obviously knows how to serve their customers. Consistently with a very friendly mindset. The food is affordably priced, regularly tasty and neat.

We enjoy eating out. Yesterday we found this superb place which friends recommended to us. We passed a delightful evening there with high-qulity meal and a professional team and a great chef. We added this fine restaurant in our phone list and we will certainly come back very soon. We highly recommend.

Quaint place with the price to match. Crispy soft shell was very tasty though we wished we had more for it. Sea bass was boneless but was a bit dry and vegetables a little bland. Grilled pork was perfectly cooked and support was nice.

Great, attentive service. Got a three course meal with a parsnip soup, lamb pappardelle, and a lovely dark chocolate pudding dessert. The staff was great, not missing a beat. The food was all quite nice, and I appreciate the attention put into maintaining a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. If you're in the area it's a good choice for fine dining.

Yesterday was our first time we visited this good restaurant. But It is definitely not the last. We passed a splendid evening with the courteous service, with the first-rate dishes and fine drinks and with the friendly price. We will definitely come back soon.

The highlights from our amazing meal were the chicken liver mousse and the hangar steak. Layering the toast with the blueberry mustard, mousse, pickled rhubarb, then micro greens created a perfect bite. The hangar steak was medium rare inside with a gorgeous char on the outside. The heirloom tomato salad, scallops, and desserts were also solidly delicious.

Have had lovely meals there on several occasions which is why I was surprised by how salty every dish was this evening. Halibut was overcooked, Swordfish extremely salty along with the roasted squash and the sides for the chicken made the meal less than spectacular. As always service was excellent!

I go with my wife to this restaurant from time to time! This is my favorite place to pass a nice evening. I go to this spot many times. The meals are just great, the crew is polite and the payment is reasonable. I like meeting in this spot for a nice meal.

Great white table cloth dining. Great chef. Owners Ian and Vince do a great job of making you feel welcome. Great food, great wine list. Highly recommended.

80 Thoreau is an amazing restaurant with great food and cocktails. The atmosphere is nice and cozy depending on which side of the restaurant you are on. It feels a little more intimate near the bar actually with the lighting (unless you are seated right by the entrance. It is a little more lively by the kitchen and you have a huge picture window that lightens the room up, though the view is over the street and their parking lot. Service is fantastic!

I just enjoyed an excellent meal here with my mother. Best were the tender swordfish, the fresh & tangy raspberry sorbet and the smooth Cabernet Sauvignon by the glass. The chicken was fine but nothing special. My mother is both gluten-free and lactose intolerant. The staff are good about advising dishes that work for these dietary restrictions, but not particularly accommodating in terms of offering substitutions. (If she cannot have the Apple fritters that come with the swordfish, perhaps you could offer a vegetable you have available as a replacement?)
