Good cheeseburger from 7-eleven. Great choice of beer.

I normally love 7-Eleven for my late night chicken and pickles sandwich and last-minute beer run. Sadly tonight I arrive at 12:56 AM, to see locks on the beer cooler! I ask if I can still get beer it be 12:56 AM and all, since the cut off time is 1 AM. Not the spot to go if your looking to grab beer late at night.

I have gone there a bunch of times with absolutely no issue. Tonight I stopped by on my way home from the bar and browsed, ultimately decided not to get anything. I was stopped by an employee and told he was “watching the cameras and saw me put things in my pocket”. I asked if he was joking (because who the hell would steal from 7/11) and was made to empty my pockets in front of plenty of other customers, about a foot from the front register. When I emptied them and had only my personal belongings in my pockets, I was given a nasty look and told “he was watching”. I called to complain after and was told by the manager on duty that he was at the front counter the entire time and it didn’t happen. I was obviously upset. He hung up on me.

Stopped in to pick up some water and a snack after a night out. Was standing near the atm when a woman came up to me and said "take that candy out that you just put in your pocket", to which I didn't respond. It made no sense that she would be talking to me. She said it again and I turned around and realized she was in fact talking to me. She told me again to take the candy out of my pocket she knows it's there because she watched me take it, to which I responded "you must be kidding me, my phone is in my pocket". She continued to press the issue so I took my phone out, dropped the items I was intending on purchasing and left. I live in the neighborhood and fuel up and make purchases there often and when I mentioned this to her she said I was a liar and had never shopped there before. I don't intend to stop there ever again.

From out of state and went to buy a beer at 1:01. I thought Maine stopped selling beer at 1:15, and I ask politely about the state's policy. The clerk was a super jerk and treated me as if I was arguing or trying to get him to sell me beer. I was 100% sober and even told him I was from out of state, that I wasn't aware, and that I wasn't trying convince him to sell me beer, yet he was plain rude and a jerk in communicating with me. He had nothing to do, as to there being no other customers on the store, and was acting as if he was super busy and I was some drunk idiot being obnoxious. Dude, I get if you hate your life as a 7 eleven store clerk, but at least don't take it out on polite customers.
