1833 Restaurant

Good food.

I cannot say enough good things about the 1833 Restaurant. The service is very good and the food is amazing! I had the Steak Tip Stroganoff, not a traditional menu item. Not only did it taste amazing, it was beautiful! My side was Brussels Sprouts smothered in bacon bits and onion. Excellent! You have to find a reason to come to Oberlin!

Always a treat! Food is so great!! Ever changing menus along with the standard hits. The staff is just downright pleasent. The chef....... Mad talented

Fresh Pork rinds!!! Local-ish booze. Local ingredients made into excellent dishes. Plates are generous but not oversized, everything we tried was excellent. Wait staff was a bit inexperienced and forgetful, but not inattentive. Did I mention the fresh pork rinds? Pricing was reasonable for the care given to the food prep and ingredient choices.

Nice restaurant. Food was good. Fair prices. Short staff at lunch. Only one waitress so the service was slow. If service was better would have got a 5

The food is excellent and very creative. If you're visiting Oberlin treat yourself to a meal here.

Valentines Day...uncoordinated wine food pairings. Timing and service way off! I really want this place to work, but tonight just didnt. We are regulars, but might need to reconsider.

A minimalist atmosphere that takes us small-town customers a while to settle into. The service is great and everyone very friendly. Competitive pricing for the great food prepared fresh out of local products. A pleasant and bright atmosphere. A beautiful modern building with ever expanding facilities.as busy as the airport.

The for was amazing. Can't stress that enough. The prices for the food are even better. However, we had to wait upwards of 30 minutes and the service was tragic. If go if it was empty.
