Lively environment and great mediterrean options. The pita and hummus are superb as starters and the egg dishes are worth a try!

Great spot for breakfast. Atmosphere is great, food is delicious, service was fast and friendly. Already planning when to come back again.

The hummus was tasty, better than usual. The lamburger was simply amazing, it had so much flavor and the right amount of spice! Somehow I didn't really like the shakshuka, I think it just was too bitter for me, but otherwise it was fine.

My friend tried to get a table for brunch here this weekend. She has been a patron in the past and was looking forward to it. She walked in and saw two open spots at the bar. She asked the hostess if she and her friend could take the two seats. The waitress wagged her finger, said that they were cracking down on "health codes" and were told to leave the restaurant. A white couple entered the restaurant and were given the two seats.My friend is Asian. I am horrified by this establishment's blatant racism. I hope that the owners of 12 Chairs Cafe correct this behavior immediately and fire the staff who committed the act. We cannot stand for this as a community and must collectively stand up.

Perfect brunch place, great choice of eggs. The music is pretty loud though.Loved the grilled vegetable sandwich!

This used to be my favorite Israeli restaurant in NYC. They have the best food! The schnitzel salad, jachnun and cheesecake are a few of my favorites. Also to limonana smoothie which always reminds me of Israel. Their atmosphere also used to be great but now they are playing really loud music so you can’t hear your friends and you go out with a headache.

12 Chairs is a nice little place with friendly staff. The only problem is that the food itself wasn't that great. I went with a large group and most of us ordered different meals, the unanimous agreement was that nothing stood out and was either bad or just okay. They also don't have a very big list of drink choices so this wasn't a great entertainment choice either. Maybe I'd try it again for a quick lunch, but there's a good chance I'll skip.

Great food and friendly staff. The Couscous could be served with a sauce, but the rest was excellent. I really can recommend the lamb and the hummus & Falafel.

I love this place, always did..Visited last week and it feels like something has changed in the atmosphere, much more welcoming and friendly, music in the background and the service was warmer. Don’t know what have changed but keep it up!!**The food is amazing (as always)

Perfect spot for romantic dinner for 2, or for a group of friends with great atmosphere. Love the vibe and lighting in this restaurant. Love the food too. We ordered a few dips, fish was great. Came here for brunch before too. Shashuka was excellent. Would definitely be back.

Quick, good eating.Hummus with mushrooms and onions is delish. Chicken dish comes with a mustard sauce that is phenomenal.

I would expect more based on all the good reviews and recommendations from friends. However even though the service was great, the food itself didn’t really get into my heart. Shakashuka is a bit overcooked. The roasted cauliflower was added too much lemon or vinegar. Only the falafels got its way right. The place is tiny and tends to be crowded during weekend brunch time, but luckily we didn’t wait too long.

Holy Moses. Get ready for a Saturday food coma. Hummus, jachnun, shakshuka, and tahini eggs were incredible and very authentic. If you are missing the energy and food of Tel Aviv, 12 Chairs is an Israeli oasis in the middle of the Lower West.
